Purchasing Agent

Irr Supply Centers, Inc. is a wholesale distributor for HVAC, Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, Refrigeration and Electrical products, we have 34 locations across New York and Pennsylvania. We have been providing our services for residential customers, contractors and municipalities for over 150 years.

 

Regions Available:
Niagara County

  Responsibilities:

  • Purchasing products for assigned lines in a regular, systematic manner.
  • Analyze and manage stock levels for assigned product lines and vendors.
  • Create, submit, and maintain purchase orders.
  • Communicate lead times, delays, exceptions, freight costs, delivery options, and order confirmations to our team.
  • Resolve pricing and invoice issues with suppliers/vendors in timely manner.
  • Monitor status of orders and contracts daily, and problem solve via phone calls/emails on a daily basis.
  • Prepare, analyze, and negotiate quotes with suppliers for efficient delivery of products.
  • Prepare and maintain purchasing reports, records, and updated unit cost and retail price lists.
  • Track on time delivery metrics by supplier and report any issues with product or delivery.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience in a Purchasing Agent role, or similar position.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent customer service, communication and negotiation skills required.
  • Strong research and analytical skills required.
