Location Manager Position Summary

Pay Range: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm, alternating Saturdays 8am - 12pm

Employment Type: Full Time

The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall performance, profitability, growth, and customer satisfaction of the branch. This role provides leadership to all branch employees while ensuring operational excellence, financial accountability, inventory management, employee development, and exceptional customer service.

The Branch Manager is expected to lead by example, foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, and drive profitable growth in alignment with Irr Supply's mission, values, and strategic objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Leadership & Team Development

Lead, motivate, and develop branch employees to achieve company and branch goals.
Establish a culture of accountability, professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Set clear expectations and performance goals for all employees.
Conduct regular coaching sessions and performance evaluations.
Participate in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, and succession planning.
Promote employee engagement and maintain a positive work environment.
Ensure employees receive appropriate training on products, systems, procedures, and safety requirements.
Communicate company initiatives, policies, and operational changes effectively.


2. Sales Growth & Branch Profitability

Lead the branch to meet or exceed sales, gross margin, profitability, and operational targets.
Develop and execute branch business plans to support company growth objectives.
Monitor sales performance and support inside and outside sales teams.
Identify new market opportunities, products, and customer segments.
Support company promotions and implement local branch sales initiatives.
Manage pricing strategies in accordance with market conditions and profitability goals.
Maximize participation in vendor programs, rebates, and incentive opportunities.
Review branch performance metrics regularly and implement corrective actions when necessary.


3. Financial Management

Analyze branch financial performance using White Cup, CSD Reports, and other available reporting tools.
Monitor branch profitability, expenses, inventory investment, and working capital.
Develop action plans to improve financial performance when targets are not being achieved.
Control operating expenses while maintaining service standards.
Ensure accurate processing of transactions and financial records.
Meet regularly with the Credit Manager to review customer accounts and address collection or credit concerns.
Support company credit policies and collection efforts.


4. Customer Experience & Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, contractors, and community stakeholders.
Ensure exceptional customer service throughout all branch operations.
Resolve escalated customer concerns promptly and professionally.
Anticipate customer needs and identify opportunities to expand business relationships.
Coordinate customer training opportunities with vendors and manufacturers when appropriate.
Represent the company professionally in all customer interactions.


5. Operations & Inventory Management

Oversee daily branch operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and service excellence.
Maintain appropriate inventory levels while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
Ensure timely processing of Purchase Orders and proactive vendor follow-up.
Coordinate inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory control procedures.
Maintain compliance with company operating procedures and best practices.
Support inter-branch cooperation and inventory sharing when appropriate.


6. Safety, Compliance & Asset Protection

Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations.
Promote and maintain a safe work environment for employees and customers.
Conduct regular facility inspections and address safety concerns immediately.
Protect company assets through effective inventory controls and operational oversight.
Maintain branch facilities, equipment, vehicles, and material handling equipment.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of forklifts and powered equipment.


7. Vendor & Community Relations

Develop productive partnerships with key vendors and supplier representatives.
Support strategic vendor initiatives and programs.
Maintain current product, pricing, and technical information.
Participate in trade associations, community events, and industry activities that support branch growth and company visibility.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and material handling activities. Regular lifting of materials up to 35 pounds is required. Heavier lifting may be necessary with the assistance of material handling equipment. The ability to operate forklifts and other powered equipment is required.
