DELIVERY DRIVER/WAREHOUSE
Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm, *Some locations work alternating Saturdays 8am-12pm
Pay Range: $17.50 - $21.00/hour
Position Summary
The Delivery Driver/Warehouse is responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely delivery of products to customer locations while providing exceptional customer service and representing the company in a professional manner. This position plays a critical role in supporting customer satisfaction by ensuring deliveries are completed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with all company policies, safety standards, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
The Delivery Driver works closely with management, warehouse teammates, counter sales personnel, customers, and other branch employees to support operational excellence and customer satisfaction. In addition to delivery responsibilities, the Delivery Driver serves as a backup and support resource for warehouse operations as business needs require.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Delivery Operations
-Deliver products accurately and on time to customer locations.
-Verify delivery orders and ensure products are delivered in the correct quantities and condition.
-Obtain required delivery documentation and customer signatures when necessary.
-Plan and follow assigned delivery routes while maintaining delivery schedules.
-Communicate delivery delays, route issues, or customer concerns promptly to management.
-Represent the company professionally during all customer interactions.
2. Vehicle Operation & DOT Compliance
-Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly at all times.
-Comply with all federal, state, local, and DOT regulations.
-Conduct daily vehicle inspections and complete required inspection documentation.
-Report vehicle maintenance needs, safety concerns, accidents, or mechanical issues immediately.
-Maintain required licensing, certifications, and medical qualifications necessary for assigned vehicles.
-Ensure vehicles remain clean, organized, and presentable.
3. Loading, Unloading & Material Handling
-Load, unload, secure, and transport materials safely.
-Verify products being loaded and delivered match delivery documentation.
-Properly secure loads to prevent damage during transport.
-Utilize safe lifting techniques and material handling procedures.
-Report damaged products or delivery discrepancies promptly.
4. Warehouse Operations Support
-Serve as a backup and support resource for warehouse operations as needed.
-Assist with receiving, stocking, picking, staging, transferring, and shipping inventory.
-Support order fulfillment activities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
-Assist with loading and unloading vendor shipments and branch transfers.
-Help maintain inventory organization and warehouse efficiency.
-Support warehouse operational priorities during periods of increased workload or staffing needs.
5. Safety & Equipment Operation
-Follow all company safety guidelines, policies, and procedures.
-Utilize proper lifting techniques and safe material handling practices.
-Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely when authorized.
-Wear required personal protective equipment and comply with safety requirements.
-Maintain awareness of hazards and contribute to a safe work environment.
-Report safety concerns, incidents, or near misses immediately.
6. Customer Service & Communication
-Provide professional, courteous, and responsive customer service at all times.
-Build positive relationships with customers through reliable service and professional conduct.
-Communicate effectively with customers, management, warehouse personnel, and branch staff.
-Assist in resolving delivery-related issues and customer concerns.
-Support company initiatives focused on customer satisfaction and service excellence.
-Represent the company positively in all interactions.
7. Teamwork & Branch Support
-Work cooperatively with management, warehouse teammates, counter sales personnel, and other branch employees.

Qualifications
-Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
-Ability to meet all DOT requirements applicable to assigned vehicles.
-Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card) when required.
-Successful completion of all required pre-employment screenings and background checks.
-Ability to safely operate delivery vehicles and material handling equipment.
-Strong customer service and communication skills.
-Previous delivery, warehouse, or distribution experience preferred.
Drug Testing Requirement
This position is subject to company drug and alcohol testing policies. Because this role requires the operation of commercial vehicles and the maintenance of a DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate, candidates must be able to successfully pass all required drug screenings, including testing for marijuana, in accordance with applicable federal regulations and DOT requirements. Federal regulations governing DOT-qualified drivers supersede state laws regarding marijuana use.
Physical Requirements
This position requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, driving, and material handling activities throughout the workday. Regular lifting of materials up to 50 pounds is required. Heavier lifting may be necessary with the assistance of material handling equipment. The ability to safely operate delivery vehicles, forklifts, and other powered equipment may be required.
