Regions Available:
Central NY

Position: Assistant Manager – Operations Focus

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30AM-4:30PM, with alternating Saturdays from 8AM-12PM
Pay Range: $21–$23 per hour

Employment Type: full-time

Location: In-person

 

Position Summary

The Assistant Manager – Operations Focus supports the daily operations of the branch, ensuring efficient warehouse processes, inventory management, customer service, and team performance. This role works closely with branch leadership to maintain high service standards, support employees, and help achieve operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Team Leadership

Supervise and support warehouse personnel and daily warehouse operations.
Assist in coordinating workflow, productivity, and operational efficiency.
Promote a safe, organized, and positive work environment.
Help train, coach, and develop team members.


Customer Service

Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and support.
Provide timely and accurate solutions regarding quotations, invoices, returns, product inquiries, and counter sales.
Deliver exceptional customer service with a positive and professional attitude.


Inventory & Purchasing

Work closely with the purchasing department to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
Monitor inventory needs and communicate requirements to meet customer expectations.
Assist with inventory control and branch stock management.


Warranty Administration

Coordinate branch efforts to process warranty claims and product defects accurately and efficiently.
Ensure claims are submitted and resolved in a timely manner.


Administrative Support

Complete required administrative tasks and reporting.
Utilize computer systems to support branch operations, inventory management, and customer service activities.


Qualifications

Previous supervisory or management experience required.
Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
Computer proficiency and ability to learn company systems.
Ability to effectively communicate with employees, customers, and vendors at all levels.
Industry experience or knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, electrical, or distribution is preferred.
