Assistant Branch Manager – Operations Focus

Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30AM - 4:30PM, Alternating Saturday's 8AM - 12PM

Location: 1800 E. Main St. Rochester, NY 14609

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour

 

Position Overview:


We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Assistant Branch Manager to help oversee day-to-day operations and support overall branch performance. This position works closely with the Branch Manager and plays a key role in supervising warehouse activity, supporting counter operations, managing inventory, and ensuring excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proficient with computers and business systems, and comfortable stepping into both administrative and hands-on operational roles as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and support warehouse personnel and daily operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and safety.
Assist customers at the parts counter by providing product knowledge, processing orders, and resolving issues.
Maintain accurate records, generate reports, and complete required administrative tasks.
Oversee warranty claims and defective product returns, ensuring timely and proper handling.
Communicate with the purchasing department to manage inventory levels and product availability.
Prepare and process quotes, invoices, returns, and other customer service documentation.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers through proactive, solution-focused communication.
Act as a support leader within the branch, stepping in for the Branch Manager when needed.
Qualifications:

Previous experience in a management or operations support role, ideally in distribution, warehousing, or a related field.
Strong computer skills, including comfort with inventory software, spreadsheets, and reporting tools.
Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service abilities.
Team-oriented mindset with the flexibility to handle a variety of responsibilities.
Industry knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or related areas is a strong advantage.
