Auto Office Clerk

Job Summary:

We are looking for an organized Office Clerk to join our team in our company owned auto repair shop. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to ensure the smooth operation of our auto repair shop, handling various administrative tasks, customer interactions, and office management duties. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service: Answer phones, and handle inquiries in a friendly and professional manner. Schedule appointments and follow up on customer requests.
Administrative Tasks: Perform general office duties including filing, data entry, and maintaining organized records of vehicles and service information.
Documentation: Prepare and process service orders, invoices, and repair estimates. Ensure all documentation is accurate and complete.
Office Management: Manage office supplies and equipment inventory, place orders as needed and ensure the office environment is clean and organized.
Communication: Coordinate with manager and technicians to ensure timely and accurate communication regarding vehicle status and repair updates.
Financial Handling: Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks such as processing payments, managing receipts, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Reporting: Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, or monthly reports as needed, including service reports and other relevant metrics.
Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or relevant coursework in business administration or related field is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an administrative or customer service role; experience in an auto repair shop or automotive industry is advantageous.


Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic office equipment.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Customer-focused with a friendly and professional demeanor.

Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to tasks.


Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.50 - $18.50 per hour
Hours: 40 per week, Monday- Friday 7:30-4:30pm
